Outlook Express


These settings only apply to email addresses hosted by Shasta.com. If you use a web-based mail service (Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc.) you will need to obtain the proper settings from them.

Step 1
  • In Outlook Express, click Tools.
  • Click Accounts.

Step 2
  • Click Add
  • Select Mail


Step 3
  • Enter your name
  • Click Next.


Step 4
  • Enter your email address
  • Click Next.


Step 5
  • The server type will be IMAP.
  • Fill in the information for your incoming server as shastaemail.com
  • Fill in the information for your outgoing server as shastaemail.com
  • Click Next


Step 6
  • The account name is your email address
  • The password is the password you gave us when we created the account.
  • Make sure remember password is checked
  • Click Next

Note * If you can’t remember your password give us a call or email us and we will help you reset the password.


Step 7
  • Click Finish.
  • You’re not done yet


Step 8
  • Make sure the new account is highlighted
  • Click Properties.


Step 9
  • Click the Servers tab.
  • Check the box at the bottom that says “My server requires authentication”.
  • and now your finally done
